Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 3 for Spa Therapy

This course consists of 9 modules:

Aim of the Course
Carry out Professional Practices using toiletries, uniform, guidelines and regulations so that personal cleanliness identified, personal cleanliness performed, characteristics of personal grooming identified, personal grooming exercised, ethical conduct identified and professional ethics adopted in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Additionally, the course will teach professional skills to assist in maintaining the well-being of individuals at any age.
*Short courses can be taken on Modular basis for JPK Certification
Eligibility
It is open to those aged 18 to 40 years.
Duration of Training
This programme consists of two parts:

Theory - 3 months
-
Practical training at spa premises - 9 months
Upon successful completion of the programme, trainees will be a certified spa therapist and obtain Malaysian Skill Certificate (Level 3) from the Department of Skills and Development, Ministry of Human Resources.
Trainees will also assured employment for at least 12 months to ensure they can practice their skills and able to contribute to the spa industry. Students who commissioned as skilled workers are also likely to be placed in the spa and wellness organization in cooperation with the Spa Association of Malaysia (AMSPA).
Scholarship Opportunities
MOTAC provides statutory funding as financial aid towards your studies. As a prospective student, you can apply through the Online Application Form of the Spa Apprenticeship Program. All applicants will be required to undergo a interview process to determine their eligibility for financial aid.
