Aim of the Course
This course covers Professional Practices using guidelines and regulations to observe the ethical conduct and professional ethics adopted in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). It also assists to identify and create spa promotions and guest service requirements. Students will be able to assess and identify guest requirements and perform various spa treatments that meet international standards.
Eligibility
It is open to those aged 18 to 40 years.
Duration of Training
This programme consists of two parts:

Theory - 3 months

Practical training at spa premises - 9 months
Upon successful completion of the programme, trainees will be a certified spa therapist and obtain Malaysian Skill Certificate (Level 3) from the Department of Skills and Development, Ministry of Human Resources.
Trainees will also assured employment for at least 12 months to ensure they can practice their skills and able to contribute to the spa industry. Students who commissioned as skilled workers are also likely to be placed in the spa and wellness organization in cooperation with the Spa Association of Malaysia (AMSPA).
Scholarship Opportunities
MOTAC provides statutory funding as financial aid towards your studies. As a prospective student, you can apply through the Online Application Form of the Spa Apprenticeship Program. All applicants will be required to undergo a interview process to determine their eligibility for financial aid.
